Ron Turasky and Carroll Cline gear up for this Saturday’s Ham and Bean Supper at St. Paul’s church.
St. Paul’s Church rolls out a ham and bean supper Saturday, March 21, 4-7 p.m. Church cooks are busy in the kitchen preparing soup, cornbread and an abundance of desserts for the community event. The supper features desserts from the recently published Menard County Cook Book. Over 300 recipes submitted by great cooks across the county are included in the book. Many of these recipes memorialize special cooks of our past by preserving their legacy of impressive cuisine. The cookbook, published by The Menard County Cookbook Committee will be for sale at the dinner. There is no fee for the dinner, but donations are accepted. St Paul’s is located at the corner of 8th St. and Douglas.
